We are proud to announce to our colleagues and our audience that the Ariana Tunnel Dam Company received the plaque and statue for National Leader of Exports in the Engineering and Technical Services sector in the Iranian year 1396.
Development of foreign trade, and
especially of exports, is one of the pivotal factors for economic development,
which, in addition to economic growth, improves the economic competitiveness of
countries in the international arena.
With the approval of the Public
Culture Council of Iran in 1997, October 21 was designated as the national day
of export to express the determination and resolve of the nation, both in
government and among the people, for development of non-oil exports and as a
result, economic development of the country.
The twenty-first annual ceremony
of the national day of export was held in October 21 of this year in the heads
of state conference hall, with the presence of the First Vice President, the
Minister of Industry, the Head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, other
governmental authorities, and representatives of the private sector.
In this event, the leading
exporters of the country in both sectors of Export of Goods, and Engineering
and Technical Services were commended with a special emblem and the plaque of acknowledgment.
Engineering services as a pillar
of economic development for countries, is a collection of methods and tools
that with efficient utilization of resources and factors of production,
including finance, raw material and human resources, provides the possibility
for the distribution of goods and services. In the third millennia, the exports
of engineering and technical services will have a major share in the global
trade, because in today’s world, many of the services can be exported and
knowledge, science and experience have, more than ever, become products worthy
of exchange.
Despite the fact that engineering
and technical services can remain enclosed inside the borders of one country, in
recent years the Ariana Tunnel Dam Company has been able to move these borders,
and with reliance on the technical expertise of directors and other personnel, provide
its technical and engineering services overseas, particularly to neighboring
countries.
With the efforts of its
management, the Ariana Tunnel Dam Company was selected the leading exporter in
the Technical and Engineering services sector and won the special golden statue
for Leading Exporter at the national level in the Iranian year 1396.
From the meetings that took place
at the sidelines of the 21st annual Iranian national day of exports,
we can mention the meeting between the directors of the Ariana Tunnel Dam
Company and Mr. Shariati, the governor of the Khuzestan province.
